How to Care for Screen-Printed and Graphic Shirts
Simple washing, drying, and storage habits that help printed graphic shirts keep their color and artwork longer.
Always check the care label first
The label sewn into the garment is the authority. The tips below are general habits for printed apparel; follow the label when it says something different.
This guide covers printed apparel in general. It does not mean every DARKOPS item uses a particular print method — check the product page or ask support for item-specific details.
Wash inside out, cold
Turning a shirt inside out reduces friction on the print. Cold water is gentler on ink and fabric. Use a mild detergent and skip bleach.
Go easy on heat
High dryer heat is hard on prints. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Never iron directly over the artwork — iron inside out or put a cloth between the iron and the print.
Store it flat or folded
Folding prevents shoulder stretching from hangers. Avoid long storage in direct sunlight, which can fade dark colors.
